It depends on your usability and need. I would suggest you to use Microsoft project task management tool. As Microsoft project is not just for your own time allocation but complete project management with your team whomsoever you may have assign the task. Check more details and about this task management software at http://www.microsoft.com/project/en/us/time-task-management.aspx

Hey guys...first time poster but long time lurker.

I was browsing around etsy and came across this:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/52714382/mario-princess-and-goomba-family-car

You know those stick figures that soccer moms put on the back of their minivans? This is the same idea...but with Mario characters! I thought it was brilliant.

Now all I need is a wife and kids and I can order ;)

You can use your browser to save pages as HTML, than open that HTML with an office suite like MS Word 2007(not free) or OpenOffice Writer(free), add/remove unwanted pictures/text and save as PDF. This probably wont keep the page numbers but

A second (not as successful) solution you can consider: you can use novaPDF 'print' articles to PDFs and use Nitro PDF to extract text/images.

Hello All

Here is my dilemma. I like reading articles on the net and wish to buy an ebook someday. I was thinking of converting all those articles into .pdf format for future reference. I have tried a few but none seem to do the job well, formatting wise. What program can

a) retain the original look of the page?
b) allow me to edit and remove unwanted pictures, texts and links?
c) have dates, original sites and page numbers added?

Hope to hear from anyone and everyone!

Thx

I looked around for something that could do that but no such luck. There's a program called GoScreen (shareware, unfortunately) that claims to manage virtual desktops on individual monitors but it looks to be a little fiddly and I couldn't get it to work. Might be worth a look, though: http://www.goscreen.info/gs/howto.html#command-mng-multimon

Hey guys, I was wondering if you have a program out there that's free for xp that lets met switch between workspaces on my dual monitor setup. The reason is that I don't like I have to be sensitive near the the edges when I want to close something, Plus I don't want to drag something across the screen all the time.

So Is it possible to have a program where I can see my 2nd workspace on my spare monitor and easily just switch between my current screen with the 2nd workspace?

Thank you

I think most people would agree that saving money is something “easier said than done”. Personally, I believe it’s a mind-set that needs to be developed by creating good money-saving habits.

Here are some things I’ve done to help change my spending habits:

-	Cook more at home  Eating out is very expensive especially if you do it a couple times a week
-	Try shopping online  You can find better deals than in the store and you save on gas (I recommend http://www.shoptivity.com)
-	Pay the full balance on credit cards each month  Interest charge is like giving away free money
-	Don’t forget to pay yourself  Set up an online savings account (they pay higher interest than a normal savings account)
-	Set a budget and goals  It’s good to have your goals written down so you see them everyday and don’t lose focus on your ultimate objectives

Again, saving money requires a lot of patience and hard work. However, you’ll thank yourself later on in life. Good luck everyone!! =)

My HP dv9700 is toast. The GPU went out which is apparently common but not something HP acknowledges. They want almost $400.00 to fix it with only a 90 day warranty. Furthermore, if I want to extend my warranty it's gonna be another $180.00. I bought it two years ago for about $1500 with the intention of having a laptop that will last, it didn't. Anyway, that's my rant. I'm going to sell the computer for parts and use the $600.00 HP wants me to spend on this clunker on a new laptop. I've heard that Asus has the lowest failure rates so I've been looking at those. Currently the one I'm looking at is the A52JR-X1 on Newegg ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220699 .) It's $800.00, has a great processor and GPU, and a 1 year parts, labor, and accidental damage warranty. Anyone have any input?

I dont have any answer for this, but Microsoft Outlook 2007 is my favorite. I use the calendar as reminders for minute tasks that sometimes must be done on a particular day, I can make the reminders repeat daily, weekly or monthly or yearly. When I get a memo about a past event, I can disect it, and put it on next year's projects to do, and they will pop up when the time comes. It has a backup feature which is very important. you can search the calendar events, and mail. When events pop up, it gets your attention, and you can snooze them if necessary. If you have more than one, they all list so that you can go through them all.

on my desk, I have incoming physical mail, incoming email, incoming voice mail, and the tickler file to my right. It is also helpful to think about how to organize your electronic files, and be sure to back them up.

Windows PE is basically the envrionment you see when you install Windows 7. The two primary uses for it are either to deploy windows or to troubleshoot windows installs that no longer boot.

Downside to PE is its not the most userfirendly tool to setup but the envrionment you can get to from the Windows installer disk will let people trouble shoot most issues with booting.

I agree with you that AVG is very resource unfriendly. I switched to Avast because it uses almost nothing. Now I switch to MSE too and I'm liking it so far. And you are right about ClamWin, maybe I should use it too.

@jitsejab

Personally I've never liked AVG, its always seemed to resource hungry to me, I've never used Avast myself so I can't comment.

I use ClamWin for its portability, my main protection on my PC is actually Microsoft Security Essentials but some malicious software can get onto your PC and disable any virus checker it finds so I like to have a portable one on my pen drive just in case.

@alexward, why do you use ClamWin? What are the advantages above AVG/Avast etc?

@sirikan, I see the use of the Sysinternal tools, but I'm not quite sure if I understand the Windows PE3. It serves you with a preinstallation environment, but what's the use?

I guess both of you have your reasons, I'm just curious =)

Windows PE 3 on a usb stick is really handy too.

Sysinternal tools are also handy to have around. Process monitor and Porcess explorer being the main troubleshooting tools.
