I wanted to get everyone's opinion on the best keyword suggestion tools for writing blog posts. I use a couple of sites all the time and I have listed them below. If you use a different site or come up with keywords in a different way, let us know.
Google Keyword Tool - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Google Suggest - Google suggestions in the search box
Google Search-Based Keyword Tool - http://www.google.com/sktool/
WordTracker - http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/
Keyword Discovery - http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html
I subscribe to the philosophy that you should simply write what the readers are interested in, and completely ignore the search engines, SEO, keywords, or anything of the sort. Just concentrate on building something of value to the readers, and they'll keep coming back for more.
Good point! I should have clarified. I mostly use these tools to help write blog post titles, which I think definitely helps readers get a better idea of what a post is about.
Also, in a sense, these tools do help you figure out what readers are interested in. Type "How to" in the Google search box and you instantly find out that people want to know things like how to tie a tie, how to make a website, etc. That's useful info and not really related to SEO, etc.
You must log in to post.
