Wallpaper: Approaching midnight
Other: Launchy, a slightly modified iTunes Toaster Plugin, a very modified BottomBar for Rainmeter, Deskview, and RocketDock.
Nice wallpaper! Love the simplicity of the whole thing - I think the dual taskbars is the way to go if you want to keep from overloading your system with widgets that you don't need.
This is excellent. I used a similar (but by no means as nice) desktop last year, it was basically just linux mint gloria, with the slickness black theme, dual taskbars and a simple sysinfo conky.
Is that the SlanXP theme for the taskbar?

actually it's Licorice VS that I recolored. But Isotop looks nice - may have to try that next.
I've posted this desktop over at Lifehacker. Thanks!
i'm honored! thanks howtogeek! :)
Good job.
looks really amazing, would like to give it a try.
Is there any chance that you could upload your bottembar.ini? I've been working on mine for a while and I can't get it to look even half as nice as yours!
I don't suppose you could share the customizations for iTunes toaster plug-in? I'd really appreciate it :).
Brilliant desktop though :D
sure, i never mind sharing.
bottombar ini can be found at: bottom-bar-wide-mod.ini
please note there are lots of things in there i just commented out, so you can comment them back in for added functionality. :) and the weather i use is the single day Moxa Weather
itunes toaster plugin: iTunesNowPlaying.ini and black26.bmp
best part? if you change your desktop background, just recolor the bmp to match, then change the name in the ini
Gorgeous desktop! Can you share with us which RocketDock Icon set you used?
Many thanks.
That is seriously beautiful. Well done.
Did you mean to post the same URL to both links above?
Was wondering if I could possibly get some help getting my system setup like this... First time I've used these tools and I'm running into problems everywhere! Yikes!
Please help. My display is in monochrome & I need it back to color.
System:
Dell Vostro
Vista
Geforce 8400 (mobile)
It's not a color issue as everything is setup for highest color. The laptop boots in color logs in color but after login it switches to monochrome. Why? Power management set to performance vs longevity.
Thanks
