  1. Some wintery feeling, so I can see snow covered street without going out into the cold :)

  2. Nice integration with the wall, nice theme.

    Personally I never could get the hang of Rainmeter and 3rd party docks never did anything for me either (which is why I don't share my desktop, it's just vanilla Win7) but you made this all come together nicely.

  3. very nice! I especially like how the reflection on some of the meters gives an icy feel to the road.

  4. @Brady
    Thanks! I've used Rainmeter for a long time now, sam goes for ObjectDock, that's why I can't just use the Win7 taskbar, although it can do the same tricks most of the time.

    @zalary
    Yeah, the icy feel is my favorite part too :)

  5. Im a fan of the icy qualities, too. And I like how the Rainmeter Skins aren't front and center, they're faded into the foggy darkness and precipitation. It helps that its black and white, too, it's all around classy.

    Not sure if I'm a fan of the Object Dock and Win7 Taskbar together, though. Just my opinion, but if you need the taskbar for system tray info, why not just use it as the dock too? That way everything is at the same space. Whatever works for you though.

    Be proud, its a nice piece of craftsmanship.

  6. @0dyss3us
    Thanks :)

    Actually you made me think really hard, why I use ObjectDock... My answer was the stack docklets and the weather docklet. So I tried out 7stacks, a pretty cool software, it is a bit slower than ObjectDock, but the difference is only 2 seconds or so. That's why, here The Snowy Street Desktop v1.1 :D

    I still have ObjectDock for the weather, because I really really like the mouse over action, and I think something like that isn't really possible with Rainmeter.

  7. Wow, i didn't think you'd actually change anything just cause I opened my big mouth. I'm glad you did, though, its most definitely an upgrade. More attention is paid to the actual photo. Glad you liked it.

    And I think it might be possible in Rainmeter, but it would require a lot of trial and error in the code. I think I might have a new project this week...

  8. I already considered to drop ObjectDock several times already, you were just the last straw so to say.

    Haha, have fun with the project, and tell me if you succeed ;)
